Since graduating with a 1st class degree in Performance at the University of Leeds and an MA in Writing for Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York, I have been performing and writing professionally for over twenty years. During that time, working with community groups has become increasingly important to me, with a special interest in literacy development for Early Years - KS2 children, though my work is far from limited to this. I have worked across many audiences, in schools to residential care centres, in Arts centres and in Museums, telling stories, writing poetry and creating characters - always inviting others to create with me, in the hope that they will feel enriched, engaged and inspired. 

Until 2013, I was living in England where I worked, as an actor, with Platform 4 Theatre (NMSI) and as Writer & Director for Little Lights Theatre (V&A). I also worked with London's Theatre Museum and created Community plays at Richmond Theatre, and across London schools running Drama programmes for children of all backgrounds and abilities. My work also took me to the USA, Canada & Ireland.

After having my children though, I wanted to return to my home island of Holyhead, just off the coast of Anglesey, to be near my family and be by the sea. Happily, since my return, I have been working with the Arts Council of Wales, Bangor University, Walk the Plank, Spectrum Drama, Hijinx Theatre, Creative Gwynedd, IOACC, Venue Cymru and Oriel Môn among many others, to bring Performance and New Writing to the heart of the community, whether it's through Storytelling, Poetry or the development one person plays to tell important local stories. I also collaborate regularly with other creative practitioners to create bespoke performances. Much of my work includes song and I also illustrate my work and the writing of other authors. 

I write original material for many of the above partners, but am also a published poet and my children's novel, 'Mouse Missions: Darkwhsitle & the Haunted River' was longlisted for the Bloomsbury New Children's Author prize in 2015. 

I am a full member of British Actors Equity as well as The Wrtiter's Guild of Great Britain. I am insured to write & perform professionally. I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate.
